Not every project needs to become a company overnight. Sometimes the best ideas simply need time.

OffLead Space is a side project I’ve been developing around a simple idea: helping property developers unlock value from underutilised land by creating secure, automated dog exercise spaces.

With dog ownership continuing to grow and urban outdoor space becoming increasingly limited, many developments include unused or difficult-to-commercialise areas. OffLead Space explores how these spaces can be transformed into bookable, self-service dog parks that generate additional revenue while adding value for residents and the local community.

Rather than waiting for the perfect opportunity, I decided to build the technology and commercial foundations first.

To support developer outreach at scale, I built my own outbound email platform, Email Engine, which automates highly targeted prospecting and campaign management.

The project is currently running quietly in the background while I continue searching for the right development partner, location and market timing to launch.

The operational technology behind OffLead Space is built on my experience in smart access, IoT devices and software automation. By combining connected smart locks, automated booking systems, remote access management and digital workflows, the goal is to deliver a completely unmanned customer experience with minimal operational overhead.

Like many of my projects, OffLead Space started with identifying a real-world problem, building the technology first and waiting patiently for the right commercial opportunity.
